Music on hold volume must be adjusted externally using software such as Audacity.
Streaming Music on Hold
Some clients, such as radio stations sometimes request their audio be played as music on hold. It is not possible to stream music on hold to the PBX. The PBX must use a stored file for audio.
Streaming music on hold may be possible through phone settings, where the phone doesn't use SIP messages to place a caller on hold (it plays the file in the audio stream) but due to the complexity of the feature and required servers, it is not something we can support.

Please only use Royalty Free and Copyright Free music to avoid legal penalties. We do not recommend or endorse the use of Copyrighted material for Music on Hold, without purchasing proper licensing.
The legal penalties for copyright infringement include payment of up to $150,000 and jail time. You may go here for a selection of Royalty Free music.
We're happy with the new service and options we've gotten through the upgrade from our prior service provider and the service team is responsive and helpful. I'd definitely recommend them!
Prior to switching to Recent Communications, we had a large national VoIP provider for our business phone solutions. The biggest difference we experience is the true partnership and immediate response to any questions or support needs we have. It helps that they are local too!
As a current client of Recent Communications with two different companies, I continue to be impressed not only by their amazing growth, but by their ability to continue to service us like we are their only two clients!
