Portal Overview

Portal Overview

The PBX portal allows phone system users to manage their extension and the configuration associated with it. This includes answering rules, voicemail, contacts and more. The top navigation pane provides access to each portion of the user portal.

Home

Home will summarize items related to your extension including new voicemails, active answering rules, devices configured to your user, and call history.

Voicemails

The messaging tab allows you to visually manage your new, saved, and deleted voicemails in one area. This section is also useful to configure, or change your active voicemail greeting.

Fax

If the fax tab is enabled and active, you may send and receive HIPAA compliant faxes through a web interface.

Contacts

The contacts tab allows users to create and manage their own phone system contacts. User can also access company contacts as well as and shared contacts that have been set up by your administrator.

Answering Rule

Answering rules allows you to specify alternate call answering rules in a different time frame (for example, handle calls differently on a weekend than on a weekday).

Time Frames

Using time frames, you can tell the system about the times when your extension is open, closed, or celebrating a holiday.

Phone

In order to permanently add, modify or remove the buttons from your desk phone, you must configure the buttons from within the portal. The phone tabs allows for you to build out your own buttons in the order that works best for you.

Music on Hold

Users can define their own music on hold within this section, if enabled by your administrator. This allows for personalization when someone is put on hold from your extension.

Reporting

The reporting tab provides each user access to their call history in detail and recordings if enabled. Users can filter through call records to find the exact record or records they need.
